Rich Adams

Hi there! My name is Rich, and I'm a British programmer living in San Francisco. By day I work with servers at Gravity Mobile, by night I write code and fight crime. I also write about programming and web related things whenever I find the time (not very often nowadays). Here's what I'm currently up to,

• Finishing off the coding for my new photo album site (and trying to become a better photographer by reading books and taking lots of photos).
• Re-writing the music recommendation engine I wrote for my masters project at university.
• Occasionally putting up small projects on my GitHub account.
• Writing a book on advanced CSS(3). I've nothing to show publically for this yet though. Soon. Maybe.
• Taking classes to learn Cantonese ( 广东话 ).
• Playing CTFs.
• ...and during the day, I'm a Sr. Systems Engineer working on cool stuff like MusicID and HABU, at Gravity Mobile in San Francisco.

Here's stuff I've done in the past,

• I wrote a music recommendation engine for my final year Masters project.
• I wrote some enhancements and plugins for open source projects on GitHub.
• I wrote some greasemonkey scripts and a Firefox toolbar for the LiveJournal support teams.
• I made digg2del.icio.us, a tool which takes all stories you've dugg on digg.com and imports them into your del.icio.us bookmarks.
• ...and I used to be a C++ developer on the baggage team for airline departure control systems in London.
